Selection and Considerations for Police Patrol Vehicles

A police patrol car may seem simple on the outside, but there are actually many intricacies inside. There are many things that those who are new to electric patrol cars don't understand. To help everyone better understand police patrol cars, the following are some precautions for them. 

Check whether the brakes and handbrakes of the electric patrol vehicle are functioning properly, whether the corresponding hydraulic pipelines are leaking, and whether the brake fluid level is normal. 

2. Check if the tightening caps of each terminal of the electric patrol vehicle battery are loose, and also verify if the battery is damaged or leaking. 

3. The transmission, steering, braking, connection and fixation of the front and rear axles as well as the wheels of the electric patrol vehicle.

4. The working condition of the electrical equipment (such as the radio, in-vehicle speakers, etc.) of the electric patrol vehicle, as well as the lights, horns, wipers and dashboard. 

Police patrol vehicles are a type of electric vehicle that is currently quite popular. Therefore, sufficient power is the key to ensuring the vehicle's operation. Hence, in order to use it more effectively, it is necessary to check for power failures to better guarantee the vehicle's operation. 

If the power is on, check whether the power cord and power lock are functioning properly. When the entire vehicle is powered on, the motor does not rotate. Next, short-circuit the positive red wire of the controller handle and the yellow wire of the handle speed. If the motor works normally, it indicates that both the motor and the controller are in good condition; if the motor does not rotate, then either the motor or the controller is damaged. If the motor and the controller are normal, but the motor does not rotate, it might be a problem with the rotation handle and the brake handle. 

Several inspection methods for police patrol vehicles. 

1. Remove all the motors from the wiring harness. Use the secondary socket setting on the multimeter to connect the red probe to the thin red wire on the six-pin plug of the motor, and the black probe to the thin yellow, blue, green and black wires. The reading should be above 900. Then, move the red probe to the black wire, and the black probe to the thin yellow, blue, green and red wires. The reading should be flashing between 500 and 600. 

2. When powering on, use the 200V DC voltage setting on the multimeter. The black pointer indicates the thin black wire of the six-pin plug, while the red pointer indicates the thin yellow, blue and green wires respectively. Rotate the motor and the voltage should flicker between 0 and 6.25V. The larger and smaller values of the three wires should be approximately the same. 

If the power of the police patrol vehicle is out, check if the fuse is in good condition. If the fuse is normal, the power is off. The next step is to check if the electrical connections inside the power supply are loose and if the battery is open circuit.
