How to disassemble and install the steering mechanism of the electric patrol vehicle

Disassembly and reassembly sequence of the steering wheel and axle of the electric patrol vehicle

Remove the horn button. 

② Loosen the fixing nut of the steering wheel. 

③ Make a marking on the steering wheel and shaft of the electric patrol vehicle so that it can be assembled and correctly installed at the original position. 

④ Turn the bolt counterclockwise to loosen it, then remove the lock handle. 

⑤ Remove the combination switch. 

⑥ Remove the starter switch box, the box itself, and the wiring connector from the steering column bracket. 

⑦ Make marks on the fork and the worm gear so that they can be correctly installed in their original positions during assembly. Then remove the bolts. The sequence for assembling the steering wheel and the shaft is the reverse of the sequence for disassembly and dismantling. Ensure that the marks on the spline shaft align with those on the steering shaft. And apply lubricating grease to the steering shaft.

Disassembly and Installation Sequence of the Steering Mechanism of the Electric Patrol Vehicle 

Remove the split pin from the adjusting plug of the straight pull rod. 

② Rotate the adjusting plug and remove the ball head. 

③ Move the straight rod and remove it. 

④ Make a marking on the fork and the worm gear shaft so that the universal joint head can be correctly installed in its original position. 

⑤ Remove the fixing nuts and bolts of the steering gear of the electric patrol vehicle. 

⑥ Remove the steering gear assembly of the electric patrol vehicle. 

⑦ Remove the fixing nut of the steering arm. 

⑧ Mark the positions on the steering arm and the worm gear shaft of the electric patrol vehicle, then remove the steering arm. The sequence of installation of the steering gear is the reverse of the sequence of disassembly. The device markings should be aligned. Tighten the fixing nut of the steering arm with a torque of 200-240 N?m. The tightening torque of the fixing nut and bolts of the steering gear is 60-90 N?m. When installing the straight tie rod ball plug, tighten all adjustment plugs, then turn them out by 1/2 a turn, and then install the new opening pin.
